EXE files such as dynamiclinkmanager.exe are categorized as Win32 EXE (Executable application) files. As a dynamiclinkmanager file, it was created for use in dynamiclinkmanager by Adobe Systems Incorporated. Dynamic Link Manager is a technology that manages paths between hosts and storage systems to provide higher data availability and accessibility for VMware, Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Solaris environments. This technology provides path failover, failback, and automatic load balancing. This technology only utilizes an Oracle Database. Use this procedure to add Sun StorEdge 9900 Dynamic Link Manager (Sun SDLM) software in a running cluster. Do not use this procedure to convert from host-based mirroring to a multipathing solution. For the procedure on how to convert from host-based mirroring to a multipathing solution, contact your Sun service provider. It is possible that a person is logged in as a 'regular' user with software installation access, but that dynamiclinkmanager is running in an administrator-level user account, and thus is unavailable to terminate. Not sure what Activity Monitor shows when you are set up as a non-admin user, because I always set myself up to be an admin.
