W10 Mail doesn't store anything on your hard drive; it can store messages in Outlook.com folders, but they're stored on the Outlook.com web site. Any messages you download from POP or IMAP accounts are only stored in a common folder in your AppData, AFAIK. The app also gives quick options to reply to your email as well, using the built-in scribble, quick replies, and voice dictation options. Canary is available on the App Store as a free download.
